The @aslan<\/strong> association, whose primary mission is to stimulate the market and disseminate new technologies, has considered that this project with UDS Enterprise meets all the necessary requirements to be eligible for one of its awards<\/strong>. The ASLAN Awards recognize public organizations and companies’ efforts in the implementation of new technologies to provide better services to citizens, improve efficiency, and optimize costs<\/strong>. In this edition, one of the areas especially valued is the digital workplace as a solution to reduce the impact of the Covid-19 crisis in the public sector<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The VDI platform with UDS Enterprise enables remote work<\/strong> for the hospital’s different departments: physicians, support technicians, IT, management and maintenance personnel, external companies<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

They have recently expanded their project with UDS Enterprise, taking advantage of another of this software’s possibilities. They have enabled distance working for radiologists and provided them with remote access to their workstations 24×7, from any location and device<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

HULAMM decided to adopt desktop virtualization before the pandemic as a daily work tool for all staff<\/strong> within the hospital. Among the benefits that prompted them to make this decision are the simplification of the entire IT environment’s management, the automation<\/strong> of many IT tasks, the increased security<\/strong> and the workplaces’ standardization.<\/p>\n

The adoption of this technology was crucial for offering the possibility of working from home during the alarm state to all professionals who could do so due to the characteristics of their job. “Despite the complexity of serving very diverse user groups, who need different tools to carry out their work, the deployment and commissioning were not difficult at all. We were able to get it up and running in a short time<\/strong>” assures Gaspar Rico Falc\u00f3, Head of the VDI project at HULAMM.<\/p>\n
