For the first time and due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Open Infrastructure Summit will be held virtually. This popular event, organized by OpenStack Foundation, will take place from October 19 to 23. Users, developers and suppliers from more than 50 countries and 600 companies that build and operate with open infrastructures will meet.
VMware has merged its two marketplaces into a single platform called VMware Marketplace. Until now, the solutions supported and verified by this manufacturer could be published, depending on their characteristics, in the VMware Solution Exchange or/and in the VMware Cloud Marketplace.
Thanks to its versatility, UDS Enterprise was present in both catalogs. Now, the connection broker for Windows and Linux desktop and application virtualization is included in the new VMware ecosystem.

In addition, there is a Lite edition that promises to work quickly on computers up to 15 years old, so it can be a good option to give older computers a second chance.

The active group for the promotion and dissemination of free computing Pica Pica HackLab claims the use of free computing in the educational system.
