As you know, the UDS Enterprise and XCP-ng developer companies have been working together for some time to offer customers a highly competitive 100% Open Source VDI solution both technically and economically.

From the beginning, the XCP-ng community has shown great interest in the connection broker for desktop and application virtualization. The UDS Enterprise team receives daily requests to download the software, inquiries about its operation and about the integration with the hypervisor developed by Vates. Therefore, a few months ago we decided to open a specific thread in the XCP-ng forum on the compatibility of both solutions.

The sanctions imposed by the United States on Huawei have motivated this company to take certain measures to avoid the possible consequences once the extensions granted by the Trump Administration come to an end, such as the deprivation of access to Windows and Android operating systems, have ended . Among them, they have developed EulerOS, their own Linux distribution based on CentOS. It was officially launched last September 2019 and now they have released their source code, which is already available on Gitee, the Chinese counterpart of GitHub.

We begin the year by unveiling some of the new features that will be incorporated to the next version of our connection broker for desktop and application virtualization. We confirm that UDS Enterprise 3.0 will add support for Hyper-V in cluster.

A few months ago we announced the compatibility of our VDI broker with the latest version of the Microsoft hypervisor in Standalone mode. Our development team has continued working to improve this integration and provide also support for this cluster technology.
