Intel has released a new version of Cloud Hypervisor, an Open Source virtual machine monitor (VMM) that runs on KVM. This new release includes support for vhost-user-blk backends. This allows users to plug av host-user based block device (for example, SPDK) to be connected to the hypervisor as a back-end of paravirtualized storage.
Now It is possible to deploy Windows and Linux virtual desktops on Windows Server 2019 (Hyper-V) using UDS Enterprise. The developers of the VDI connection broker have been working since Microsoft launched the new version of its hypervisor to provide UDS with compatibility with this technology.
Version 19 of the Linux MX distribution has already been released. One of the highlights is that it is based on the latest release of Debian, 10.1 (Buster). It is governed by Linux Kernel 4.19 and as a desktop environment uses XFCE 4.14.
