SIMO EDUCATION: ICT teaching innovation

SIMO EDUCATION 2017 brought together the professional community of teaching at IFEMA (Madrid) from 25th to 27th of last October. The fair received the visit of 9,442 professionals, 15% more than in 2016, and announced news of 231 companies from 18 countries. These data make it a reference event in our country in the field of technological innovation at the service of teaching.

During the three days that this technology meeting lasted, attendees could listen to more than 200 national and international speakers and get to know by first hand 30 interesting CT experiences implemented in different schools.

In addition, there were practical workshops on programming, robotics, educational use of drones, inclusive education, learning-service, virtual reality, big data in education, gamification…

As a novelty this year took place the I Conference for directors of educational centers, under the title “Management as essential engine of the educational transformation of the center”, as well as the space MAKERS.

The Department of Education of the Canary Islands, Castilla – La Mancha, Castilla – León, Extremadura, and Madrid also participated in the SIMO EDUCACIÓN program, as well as the Agency for the Technological Modernization of the Xunta of Galicia – AMTEGA; the National Institute of Educational Technologies and Teacher Training, INTEF; CrueTIC , National Catholic Schools (EC) and Catholic Schools of Madrid (ECM); the Madri + d Foundation, and the Academy of Television Sciences and Arts.
