Architecnologia, a website focused on open learning

There are many blogs about technology. Highly exploited niches such as free software, or hardware components, security, electronics, etc. On the other hand, Architecnologia is a site somewhat different from the rest. It is not specialized in a single topic but covers different ones that are perhaps not so frequent on the web.

That is what makes this portal interesting, that touch that makes an ordinary blog become something unique. Obviously, this has its drawbacks since the topics discussed are perhaps not so popular, but it does serve as a home for all those users who are orphaned of information by not finding it elsewhere.

Does the tech you are giving away respect the freedom of your family?

The Free Software Foundation (FSF) invites us one more time to reflect before going to buy our Christmas presents. In a year like this, in which technology has gained even more prominence due to the pandemic, this organization recommends that before buying gifts for our family or friends, we stop to think if the device that we are going to give respects their freedom and privacy.

The active group for the promotion and dissemination of free computing Pica Pica HackLab claims the use of free computing in the educational system. First maintenance version of OpenGnsys Espeto is available

The OpenGnsys Project has released this week a new maintenance version of its free and open application for the management and deployment of operating systems. OpenGnsys 1.1.1a incorporates interesting news, in addition to fixing some issues of the previous release reported by the user community.

Among the new features, the first maintenance review of OpenGnsys Espeto facilitates the update process thanks to a script that allows to choose the version to which the user wants to update. The system now supports MBR starts on PCIe disks (NVMe) and the start with Grub can be secured by entering a password.

In addition, it incorporates a new page that shows basic statistics of the organizational unit and on the “Computer Properties” page data from operating system sessions are reflected. Finally, updated documentation of the OpenGnsys 1.1.0a online basic course has been added.
