KVM hypervisor management tools: RHEV

by | Dec 10, 2014

In the first of our posts on KVM hypervisor management tools we talked about oVirt and today we borrow again vMiss.net article to talk about Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization (RHEV).

RHEV is another set of tools that may be used to manage KVM. It provides features such as live migration of virtual machines and storage, high availability and support for virtual desktop infrastructure.

RHEV may be a good choice for organizations that are starting to use Linux but need enterprise support and ready to download distributions that may be easily deployed.

RHEV also has a tight integration with OpenStack, which enables organizations to migrate to a hybrid cloud model for certain workloads if they are already using RHEV for their private cloud.

OpenStack is precisely another KVM hypervisor management tool. We will talk about it in next articles on this topic.
