The Malaga University resolved this complexity thanks to the integration of UDS Enterprise, used to access virtual machines, with one of the world’s best known and most used eLearning application: Moodle.
Thanks to this integration, the access to educational resources is fully transparent, so users only have to access Moodle via web browser to access the teaching contents. This makes learning more easy while simplifying the work to the teachers, overcoming today’s technological barriers.
This innovative system has been initially developed for the subjects on the University of Malaga Virtual Campus: degree courses, masters and complementary studies.
Moodle module will be shortly published on the public repository of available modules for Moodle (Open Source). In this way, these functionalities will be available for all Moodle users who access their virtual machines through UDS Enterprise broker, which also features an Open Source version.
Both teachers and students
Profesores y estudiantes are very satisfied with this new system, since all the resources they need are now integrated in their eLearning platform and the only thing they need to access them is a web browser.
The University of Málaga highlighted the joint work with VirtualCable to develop this project; together with USS Enterprise’s great performance, which enables the access to different virtualization platforms, such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix Xenserver, Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization KVM, Nutanix Acropolis, oVirt KVM and physical PC remote access.
