This new functionality is now available to all our customers. To implement it, it is essential to have the latest stable version of the software and apply this patch on the UDS Server machine. Finally, the new UDS Client for macOS operating systems will have to be installed on the devices that will be used to access the services.
Once this is done, it will be possible to enable the connection through FreeRDP and Microsoft Remote Desktop to Windows and Linux virtual desktops managed and deployed by UDS Enterprise.
This option significantly improves the user experience for all those who use Apple terminals. Your virtual desktops may be configured to allow redirection of audio, video, local printers, smartcards… and even credentials in the case of FreeRDP (Microsoft Remote Desktop does not support this functionality, so it will be necessary to specify the password to login into the service).
Our technical team has created a complete document detailing all the steps to follow to enjoy this enhancement. It can be consulted and downloaded from the Documentation section of our website: Enabling RDP connection from macOS devices.
