Issue tracking tools are crucial to manage any project workflow. They allow to detect, track and resolve bugs in a collaborative way. In this article we are going to talk about three Open Source tools easy to download and manage:

VDI golden images allow to deploy several virtual desktops based on a single base image. This configuration simplifies a lot desktop management but also complicates updates.

A VDI golden image contains an operating system and hardware configuration. Windows-based images can be managed using Microsoft Sysprep tool in order to clone the OS. The image usually contains also patches and applications, but applications can be also virtualized separately.

UDS Enterprise connection broker requires a database to store all UDS system data, both from system setup (service providers, authenticators, transports…) and registries (users accesses to services, use of service pools, log…). Microsoft has announced the availability of FreeBSD in Azure marketplace and official support as a guest on Hyper-V, meaning Microsoft Support will answer any question and will fix any issue reported by customers.

The company explains in the official blog that many virtual appliance verndors base their products on FreeBSD operating system, and that’s why they decided to develop FreeBSD 10.3 as a ready-made VM image to run in Azure, as Hyper-V is the virtualization platform for Azure.
