A few days ago, we talked to you in this post about the interesting news incorporated in the version 1.1.0 of the cloud orchestrator OpenGnsys. In today’s article, we collect the improvements that have been introduced in correcting some features and functionalities of the previous version.
As usual, the RedIRIS Technical Conference held in Santander last June was preceded by the Working Groups, in which computer and network service providers from the institutions affiliated to RedIRIS have participated, in order to exchange information and experiences. For some years now, our UDS Enterprise VDI connection broker has starred in one of the manifestations. On this occasion, Ramón Gómez Labrador, from the University of Seville, spoke about our software as a fundamental pillar of one of the projects they are developing with OpenGnsys: Remote PC.
Ramón Gómez Labrador, from the University of Seville, talked during RedIRIS Technical Conference held in Santander last June about the progress made in the OpenGnsys Project, developed by several Spanish Public Universities. Labrador explained that they are about to launch a new version of this system that allows the distribution, installation and deployment of different operating systems. The beta of the version 1.1.0 has been available since last July and the stable version will be released soon.

And not only that; It is also used in educational environments to teach you how to set up desktop virtualization platforms, because their installation, administration and usability are very easy and simple. Lately, we have been updated that our software has been used for the elaboration of a Project of Higher Education in the Management of Information Systems in the Network.
