Vates, the Company behind Xen Orchestra, announced the availability of a new version of the management web interface for Citrix Hypervisor (XenServer) and XCP-ng. The release 5.51 comes with important improvements to manage groups, especially in LDAP, adding the option to synchronize them in Xen Orchestra. There is no longer the need to create them manually and every time a new user or group is added, the information is updated.
The Fedora Project announced the availability of Fedora 33 Beta, the latest release of this version before the stable one, which is expected to be launched at the end of October.
Among the new features of Fedora 33 Beta, in the official announcement the use of BTRFS as the default filesystem is highlighted. This change introduces user-friendly features such as transparent compression and “copy-on-write”. At the moment, only basic features are incorporated, but little by little more advantages of this system will be added.
Next November a new certification for IT professionals will be available endorsed by The Linux Foundation and the startup Certiverse. Linux Foundation Certified IT Associate (LFCA) demonstrates experience and basic skills in information technology functions, especially in cloud computing.
