The oVirt development team has released moVirt, a mobile application for oVirt users to manage their data center.
This app complements the web dashboard and has three main features:
-Monitoring the virtual machine health, such as Memory/CPU use, status and events
–SPICE & VNC integration
-It bridges the physical world of servers with oVirt virtual world using augmented reality techniques that allows to scan data matrix codes located on servers.
Today we sum up an article published in ZDNet that talks about Red Hat‘s oVirt potential and possibilities, standing out the University of Seville case study thanks to its integration with UDS Enterprise.
As the article explaines, oVirt is a free and Open Source project with huge capabilities and which is now a serious competitor to VMware’s ESXi and competing products, such as Microsoft’s Hyper-V, Citrix’s XenServer or Proxmox.
The upcoming release of application virtualization with UDS Enterprise, the integration of our VDI connection broker for Windows and Linux with oVIrt and the features of the LXD hypervisor have been the most read topics in our blog during the last two weeks.

UDS Enterprise fully integrates with oVirt ( versions 3.2, 3.3 and 3.4).
UDS Enterprise components are offered in Virtual Appliance format and they are hosted on the vSphere platform on which the virtual desktops are going to be deployed.
The integration process is very easy, you can check it reading this presentation:
