New GNU Linux Certification course

by | May 3, 2019

The Security Sentinel website has launched a new GNU Linux Certification Course. The goal is to provide students with all the necessary skills to learn how to use and manage this operating system.

This program is aimed at all types of users, both those without previous knowledge in the field of Linux and those who are thinking of preparing for one of the professional Linux certifications. In fact, it is a good guide to start preparing the LPIC, CompTIA, LFCS and LFCE tests of the Linux Foundation. These certifications are increasingly valued by the Human Resources departments of companies, given the growing expansion of Linux.

The course is more than 100 hours long. Each week, students must complete a series of theoretical readings together with video tutorials. After each topic, a series of exercises will be set out in order to intensify the newly acquired knowledge in a practical way. They will also have the possibility to self-evaluate through tests that can be completed online.

The final grade of the course will be obtained from a series of practical exams that will determine the training of students as Linux system administrators. Marks can be improved taking practical and funny challenges, which will allow students to know all the GNU/Linux distributions and specialize in the most used ones.

Students will have at all times the support of the teacher of the course, with who they can communicate through different channels. Once finalized, they will obtain a certificate that will prove that they have successfully completed the contents in the program.
