They also advice us to avoid giving products with harsh rules about copying and sharing, or those which perform remote deletion of files without asking users.
FSF has drafted the traditional guide to help us choosing gifts that respect recipients’ rights and freedom, promoting ethical tech; they have even organized events to spread the word and help understand the benefits of free technology.
