One of our clients, the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE) has translated UDS Enterprise into Italian. After learning about the software and starting to carry out the required tests to see if it was the most appropriate VDI solution to resolve their problems, the IT team of this educational center raised the possibility of improving the translation into the native language of their students.
Google and The Linux Foundation have reached an agreement to improve Linux security. The search engine will allocate funds to finance the work of two kernel developers to focus on tasks aimed at shielding the system.

The new version of the free and Open Source office suite par excellence is now available for download. In the LibreOffice 7.1 Community announcement, the Document Foundation explains that they have added the Community tag to emphasize that this software is not aimed at business nor does it meet their support needs. Thus, they accentuate the difference between the free edition and the Enterprise. Both are based on the LibreOffice Technology platform, available for desktop, cloud, and cloud operating systems.
Red Hat has announced new free programs for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), its Open Source enterprise operating system. As of February 1 there will be no cost for development teams and workloads of up to 16 servers.
