The cybersecurity company Intezer has discovered a new malware targeting Linux systems. HiddenWasp is a Trojan that allows cybercriminals to take remote control of infected machines. At the moment, the most popular malware protection systems are not able to detect this threat.
The South Korean government will stop using Windows on their computers and will install Linux on all its devices, according to The Korea Herald.
Schools in the Indian state of Kerala will save around 428 million dollars using Linux as operating system on more than 200,000 computers. They will install a distribution based on Ubuntu developed by KITE (Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education). It is called IT@School and includes free and Open Source applications specially customized for students and teachers.

Google has announced during Google I / O developer conference that all Chromebooks will be Linux ready out-of-the-box.Last year Google started to include support for Linux in some of these devices, but a program called Crouton was needed and the installation and configuration process was not that easy, so Linux was not really available for all Chromebook users.
