The joint VDI solution UDS Enterprise + Nutanix was the central theme of one of the presentations of the XXIX RedIRIS Technical Conference, held from May 8 to 10 at the University of Salamanca.
Ignacio Manterola, Sales Director of Lanmedia Communications, was in charge of exhibiting the the Case Study of the Public University of Navarra (UPNA), where the UDS Enterprise + Nutanix all-in-one solution serves 850 concurrent users of virtual desktops. Thanks to this solution, in the near future, they plan to implement the BYOD trend for its 8,000 students.
The OpenGnsys Project development team has announced the release of the latest stable version of the software. OpenGnsys 1.1.0 incorporates, among other new features, a new REST API for server and repository management, new OGAgent agents for Linux, Windows and Mac OS, and the possibility of offering different ogLive to clients.
Remote PC is currently in the testing stage. Ramón Gómez Labrador, from the University of Sevilla, presented a complete demo of the project in the 44th edition of the RedIRIS Working Groups that was held at the end of last November at the Technical University of Madrid.
UDS Enterprise incorporates Catalan as a new language for users and administrators. One of the clients of UDS Enterprise, the Universitat de les Illes Balears, in collaboration with our development team, has made it possible for UDS Enterprise VDI connection broker to be used in this language.
