A new edition of Hacktoberfest, an initiative of DigitalOcean and DEV that encourages support for the Open Source ecosystem is celebrated this October. Developers of all kinds, from beginners to veterans, are invited to participate in this event. They just have to choose an Open Source project hosted on GitHub and make a contribution.
Red Hat has released this week the new version of CentOS and a new edition of this operating system for developers called CentOS Stream.
The latter is an advanced Rolling Release aimed at those who work with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). It will receive daily updates and will serve as a preview or open beta of the next release of RHEL.
