The AlmaLinux team has announced the availability of the first stable version of its operating system. It is a fork of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) that arises as an alternative to CentOS. As you may remember, a few months ago Red Hat announced that it would stop supporting CentOS and, since then, several distributions have started the race to position themselves as the option of choice for users. AlmaLinux is the first to announce a version ready for production environments.

The developers have designed a version in which all its elements are simple and easy to use. They have created a manageable and intuitive environment with higher performance, designed to improve the user experience.
