AlmaLinux, the first stable alternative to CentOS is now available

The AlmaLinux team has announced the availability of the first stable version of its operating system. It is a fork of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) that arises as an alternative to CentOS. As you may remember, a few months ago Red Hat announced that it would stop supporting CentOS and, since then, several distributions have started the race to position themselves as the option of choice for users. AlmaLinux is the first to announce a version ready for production environments.

Today we share a summary of the interesting demo carried out by the Head of the Badajoz Provincial Council’s IT Systems, Eladio Maqueda. He showed how users access the applications or desktops managed and deployed by UDS Enterprise using low-cost devices with great agility.
