The joint VDI solution UDS Enterprise + Nutanix was the central theme of one of the presentations of the XXIX RedIRIS Technical Conference, held from May 8 to 10 at the University of Salamanca.
Ignacio Manterola, Sales Director of Lanmedia Communications, was in charge of exhibiting the the Case Study of the Public University of Navarra (UPNA), where the UDS Enterprise + Nutanix all-in-one solution serves 850 concurrent users of virtual desktops. Thanks to this solution, in the near future, they plan to implement the BYOD trend for its 8,000 students.
UDS Enterprise VDI connection broker is one of the simplest and easiest tools to use in automatic deployment and management of the life cycle of any remote desktop service, such as virtual applications and desktops. The development team works to add, in each release, new functionalities that facilitate the work of the platform administrators. One of these features is the ability to automatically remove found duplicate virtual machines.
The new version of our VDI connection broker supports the latest release of the Nutanix hypervisor, Acropolis 5.1. (AHV). The UDS Enterprise development team has made all necessary adjustments to enable UDS Enterprise 2.1 and AHV 5.1 to be fully operationally integrated for deploying virtual desktops and applications. Compatibility has been ensured by performing complete tests in our laboratories that guarantee the perfect integration of both solutions.
