As usual, the RedIRIS Technical Conference held in Santander last June was preceded by the Working Groups, in which computer and network service providers from the institutions affiliated to RedIRIS have participated, in order to exchange information and experiences. For some years now, our UDS Enterprise VDI connection broker has starred in one of the manifestations. On this occasion, Ramón Gómez Labrador, from the University of Seville, spoke about our software as a fundamental pillar of one of the projects they are developing with OpenGnsys: Remote PC.
UDS Enterprise 2.1 incorporates new options for HTML5 connectivity against Windows and Linux VDI. These new features allow platform administrators to further customize virtual desktops and increase security.
Our UDS Enterprise connection broker is used every day by thousands of users around the world to deploy and manage virtual desktops with one of the free versions of our software . And not only that; It is also used in educational environments to teach you how to set up desktop virtualization platforms, because their installation, administration and usability are very easy and simple. Lately, we have been updated that our software has been used for the elaboration of a Project of Higher Education in the Management of Information Systems in the Network.
UDS Enterprise 2.1 incorporates, among many other new features, a full support of Citrix XenServer 7.1 and 7.2.
The UDS Enterprise development team has worked to enable users of our VDI connection broker to enjoy the enhancements built into Citrix’s new Open Source hypervisor versions, such as snapshots, Proxy authentication, and better Scalability of XenCenter.
